Re: leg workout at home? 7/29/2005 9:27:05 AM   (Total replies: 1)
I work out at home. I hate squats, but do them. The first time I did them, my knees kept popping, but they only pop every now in then now, and it doens't hurt. I also now started doing chair sqauts, that helps to have a little change in my routine. I started doing walking lunges (just today, really felt it in the hamstrings) and I think that the forward motion helps me to do these.

Re: Cardio 6 x a week 7/27/2006 9:08:14 PM   (Total replies: 1)
Hey Troye, just like your eating I want to say first off great job on working out. I am a true die hard BFL fan. Last year I did my first 12 week challenge and went from 5'6 182 lbs to 150 lbs. This was all by eating 6 meals a day, doing cardio 3 days a week, and my weights 3 days a week. I am a firm believer that your muscles need more than one day to rest. I sometime can't up my weights much, and can go weeks without any change, but you will still get great results. I would really suggest ...

Re: Lunch at work? 4/18/2006 1:38:44 PM   (Total replies: 1)
Hey Jodi, Fruit is a carb I eat a lot, I also eat a lot of yogurt. I boil the eggs and when I peel them just throw away the yolk. When I eat them at home sometimes I'll give the yolks to the dogs, but I figure if their not good for us, are they good for the dogs??? Anyway I priced out the egg beaters, and I think it's just as cost effective to throw away the yolks on the eggs. Oh yeah and easier to boil 18 at a time and have them done for a couple of days :)

Hi Jodi, I cook up about 6 chicken breast at once on the grill. Then I have them in the fridge. So for lunch and my snacks at work a lot I eat a chicken breast and a yogurt, or a fruit. I also like to cut the chicken up and have that in a salad. Oh yeah I boil 18 eggs at a time, so I like to bring boiled eggs, then of courese it with either a fruit or a yogurt. I also keep peanut butter at my desk, put that on some toast. These are just some things I like to bring that I think are ...

Thank you Thank you Thank you! Thanks for posting that Nette! I think that I have been down on myself the past couple of days, but I'm not going to quit. Reading that quote sure helps me to feel better about slipping every now in then!

Re: Is 6 meals a must? 7/23/2006 8:47:13 AM   (Total replies: 1)
Hi Troye, With only eating as little as you do your body will go into stravtion mode. You are not going to lose any weight because your body is going to store it all, thinking that it's starving. 6 meals is not a must, but at least 5 is. I have read of so many people who want to eat less to get faster results, but when they start to eat more calories, they start to lose. Also you need fat in your diet because in order to lose fat, you need fat. Does your gym instructor who recomended the ...

Congratualtions!!! I am happy to see that you are eating more, even though I seem to find it hard to get all of my cals in also. I am working on getting in enough fat! Keep up the great work. Mel

What I eat a work a lot is either a pregrilled chicken breast or turkey lunch meat for my protein, with either fruit or ff yogurt. These are very easy, and for the lunch meat I just buy a package and leave it at work.
