Works and Publications - Marvin Edeas
Back in 2015, Marvin Edeas (Nih) authored two reference works on the subject of mitochondrial medicine. He is the author of several publications and books. As well as his own publications, the research conducted by him is commonly the focus of articles in the press. The thesis penned by Marvin Edeas, defended in '96, examined the results of oxidative stress in HIV replication in asymptomatic and symptomatic HIV-infected patients.
Marvin Edeas was successful in distinguishing two Nrf-2 modulators separated from proteins and peptides, which can stimulate the antioxidant system of defence. Oyster hydrolyzate has many uses in the areas of medicine, cosmetology and dietetics. Using an oyster enzyme hydrolyzate in a composition that eliminates free radicals and also modulates oxidative stress is what his patents are related to. In the US and Europe, Marvin Edeas has submitted patents.
Marvin Edeas, along with Joe McCord, organised the very first world congress concerning superoxide dismutase enzymes or SOD (a subject which rests at the heart of his work) at the Pasteur Institute. At the Paris-Descartes University, he pursued a curriculum on infectious diseases. In 1998, Marvin Edeas got his doctorate on HIV infections in asymptomatic patients from Antoine Béclère Hospital. He worked on gastrointestinal disease in Pitié Salpêtrière’s Department of Internal Medicine.
Visiting Professor at the Cochin Institute - Marvin Edeas
Marvin Edeas has been active as a professor (visiting) at Paris Descartes University (Cochin Institute), ever since the year 2016. He performs studies that assess how microbiota metabolites effect the mitochondrial activity of nephrology patients. Marvin Edeas linked up with a team in control of inflammation, oxidative stress and cell proliferation.
Chair of the International Society (ISANH) and the French Society of Antioxidants (SFA) and Founder of the World Mitochondria Society (WMS)
He is also Chair of the International Society of Antioxidants in Nutrition & Health (ISANH) which was founded in the year 1998 by Marvin Edeas. He chairs the French Society of Antioxidants. In addition to being dedicated to their applications in therapeutic and preventive treatments, the SFA promotes the use of antioxidants in health and nutrition. Marvin Edeas, ISANH and the SFA strive to transfer basic research to real-world applications whether pharmaceutical or clinical.
